President-Elect Donald Trump has chosen Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) for the job of Health and Human Services Secretary, giving the position to a veteran member of Congress who has been a frequent critic of President Obama’s health reform plan.
“Chairman Price, a renowned physician, has earned a reputation for being a tireless problem solver and the go-to expert on healthcare policy,” Mr. Trump said in a written statement issued this morning.
“There is much work to be done to ensure we have a health care system that works for patients, families, and doctors,” the Georgia Republican said of his selection.

After their states were singled out by President-Elect Donald Trump for allowing massive voter fraud, elections officials in three states pushed back against Mr. Trump’s charge that millions voted illegally in the November elections, with critics calling on the next President to present some evidence to back up his charge.
“The claims of voter fraud in Virginia during the November 8 election are unfounded,” said Virginia elections commissioner Edgardo Cortes, one of three states that Trump claimed had allowed illegal votes in large numbers.

Hours after approving a plan to start a recount of the vote for President in Wisconsin, elections officials there set a price tag of $3.5 million for that recount – an amount that must be paid by the candidates asking for the election review, with a deadline of Tuesday at 4:30 pm Central Time.
The recount has been requested by Green Party nominee Jill Stein, as well as independent candidate Roque De La Fuente.
Under Wisconsin election law, because an automatic recount was not triggered, then Stein and/or De La Fuente will have to pay the cost of the vote count.

Members of the Wisconsin Elections Commission voted on Monday to set in motion a plan for a speedy recount of the vote for President in that state, even as the head of that panel very publicly said he does not believe the recount will push Donald Trump out of the lead in the Badger State.
“I think ultimately, at the end of the day, the count is going to be the same,” said Marc Thomsen, a Democrat who chairs the elections board.
“I don’t doubt that the President-Elect is going to win that vote,” Thomsen added.

President-Elect Donald Trump claimed that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote in the race for President only because “millions of people” voted illegally in the November elections, though Mr. Trump, in a flurry of tweets on Sunday, offered no real evidence to back up his claim of massive voter fraud.
The latest raw vote totals show Clinton with a lead of more than 2.2 million votes over Trump, who flashed some aggravation with that outcome.
“It would have been much easier for me to win the so-called popular vote than the Electoral College in that I would only campaign in 3 or [More]
